FAMILY MEMBERS CAN LEGALY TRAVEL........

New Delhi: Your family members can now legally travel on your railway reservation ticket. Indian Railways have made changes in rules to allow people to travel on tickets reserved for their family members. Family members include father, mother, siblings and other close relatives.

The process for transferring tickets needs to be done at least 24 hours before the journey. The process can be initiated 48 hours before the journey.

Guard held for theft in train

UJJAIN: Three persons including a railway guard were held on charge of stealing valuables from the train passengers. According toGovernment Railway Police (GRP) officials, a laptop, camera and mobile phones of some passengers were stolen from AC coach in Jabalpur- Somnath express train last week between Ratlam and Nagda.
 
The police during investigation found that Gulshan, son ofDevkumar Sareen, resident of Sethinagar in Ujjain, who is employed as a guard with the assistance of accomplices Nilesh kadam and Munna alias Bhuria had committed the theft. The police arrested the trio and recovered the stolen goods.
More incidents could be solved with the nabbing of the gang, police hoped. Gulshan had got the job on compensatory ground after the demise of his father.

(1) National Industrial Tribunal 6th sitting was on 5 th Nov. 2012 to decide the privilege of Loco Pilots of Indian Railways. Again case postponed to 26th Nov.2012 since Judge was not available.

(2) Regional Labour Commissioner ( Andhra Pradesh) conciliation meeting between AILRSA and SOUTH CENTRAL RAILWAY was adjourned to 7th Jan.2013.Rejoinder shall be submitted in CD form by 15th Nov.2012.So as to send the same after improvement to concern Divisional Authority.

Sir,

   The All India Loco Running Staff Association representing the Loco Pilot, Motorman, and Assistant Loco Pilots of Indian Railways heartily welcomes you as Minister for Railways and assures you for our best Co-operation in overcoming the situation which Railway are now facing.

   Sir, the Loco Running Staff of Indian Railways also expects that their long pending grievances related to working condition, Grade Pay, Additional Allowance to all of the Loco Running Staff, reckoning the rate of Running Allowance based on 1981 running allowance formula etc. will be resolved at an earliest. All the above matters have been referred to NIT / Mumbai for adjudication but Railway Board is delaying the matter to response. Hope that the Railway Board is advised to response at an earliest to enable NIT to adjudicate the matter at an earliest as possible.


  In last I shall be grateful, if shall be given an appointment to see you at your convenience, if possible either on 29th or 30th Nov 2012. I may please be intimated accordingly over telephone, if appointment is granted.
