To
          The General Manager
            ___________ Railway,

Respected Sir,

Sub: Implementation of Railway Board Directives to minimize SPAD

I am a member of loco running staff of this Railway. Being the traveler of the leading vehicle, I would be the first victim of any accident. In case life is spared, myself and my family have to bare the shame but also loose the livelihood. Hence my representative union has been continuously voicing for safety augmentation in Railways in the yester years.

So I look hopefully on directives given by Railway Board vide its letter no 2004/m(l)/446/7101 dated 14.06.12. Regarding design of locomotives signal system, working condition, training etc. from the experience as a running man, I request your good self to give prime importance to the following subjects among the 58 directives contained in the RB letter referred above.

A2 Improve driving cabs with uniform design, Sound proofing and air conditioning
A7 Improvement of LP seats
B4 Allow calendar day rest every week to enable staff to fulfill family obligation.
C5 Minimize longer hours of crew by relieving them hiring road vehicles.
C6 Limit Continues night duty to 2/3 and duty hours in night to 6 hours
C16 Liberalize rest at HQ and at outstation.
D8 Allow one day duty at HQ every month for proper Counseling and monitoring.
E3 Limit maximum duty hours of EXP/PASS crew to 6 hours.
E16 Reduce stress levels-give protection from prosecution in case of accidents and animal run over

I earnestly hope for a speedy action from your good office

                                                                                      Your s faithfully

                                                                                   (                       )
